1 Killed, 2 Injured in Cypress Crash Near Katella Boulevard and Holder Street
CYPRESS, CA (August 21, 2022) – A crash killed one person and injured two others near Katella Avenue and Holder Street in Cypress.
According to The Orange County Register and ABC 7 News, the tragic accident took place on Sunday evening. Officers reported the wreck shortly before 7:20 p.m.
The Orange County Fire Authority said an Amazon delivery van and a white Chevrolet Camaro collided for an unknown reason in the city of Cypress.
Amazon Van and Car Collide
The two vehicles crashed near the intersection of Katella Avenue and Holder Street. Firefighters soon arrived and pronounced a man riding as a passenger in the Chevrolet dead at the scene.
The driver of the Camaro and the operator of the Amazon van ended up hurt as a result of the collision. Paramedics then rushed both patients to trauma centers for treatment of unspecified injuries.
The names of the deceased and wounded parties have not been yet released. Meanwhile, officers forced the area of Katella and Holder to shut down for a time following the wreck.
The cause of the fatal Cypress crash is still under investigation.
