Cyclist Injured in Hit-and-Run Crash on Appian Way
Pinole, CA (August 28, 2022) – Police arrested 73-year-old Joseph Kish in relation with a bicycle accident that occurred on Appian Way, the East County Today News reported.
On July 25, Monday, a man riding a bike collided with a passenger vehicle in the 2100 block of Appian Way in Pinole. The accident took place at about 5:07 p.m.
The force from the impact ejected the cyclist onto the ground. According to the article published online, the victim got out of the roadway after the incident. The injured cyclist walked to a nearby motel and called for help. When medical personnel arrived, they immediately rendered aid to the injured cyclist.
Officials mentioned the driver involved in the collision fled the scene. After the investigation process, authorities identified the hit-and-run suspect as Joseph Kish. The Contra Costa District Attorney’s Office filed one felony count of hit-and-run against Kish.
Further investigation on the case is underway.
