Pedestrian in Wheelchair Killed in Jurupa Valley Crash on Hall Avenue
JURUPA VALLEY, CA (September 5, 2022) – A crash killed a pedestrian in a wheelchair along Hall Avenue in Jurupa Valley.
According to an article published by My News LA, the tragic accident took place early Monday. Officers reported the collision at about 3:15 a.m.
The incident happened when a male pedestrian in a wheelchair was traveling in the middle of the southbound lane of Hall Avenue in Jurupa Valley.
Victim Hit by Vehicle
A vehicle was heading in the same direction at the time. Deputies said for an unknown reason, the driver struck the victim north of El Rio Avenue.
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and soon pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene. His name has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, deputies added that the motorist stopped and stayed at the site after hitting the victim. Officers forced a stretch of Hall Avenue to shut down for a time following the incident.
The cause of the fatal Jurupa Valley crash is still under investigation.
