1 Killed in French Camp Crash at Manthey and Mathews Roads
FRENCH CAMP, CA (November 6, 2022) – A car crash killed at least one person at Manthey Road and Mathews Road in French Camp.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the tragic accident took place on Sunday morning. Officers reported the wreck at about 6:45 a.m.
The incident happened when two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in French Camp. They crashed at the intersection of Manthey and West Mathews roads.
2 Cars Collide
CHP described the cars as a red Toyota RAV4 and a 4-door sedan. One of them slammed into a chain link fence with a metal post nearby.
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the Interstate 5. They confirmed that one individual died as a result of the collision.
The name of the deceased party has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin. Meanwhile, officers forced the area of Manthey and Mathews roads to shut down for a time following the wreck.
The cause of the fatal French Camp crash is still under investigation.
