1 Killed in Santa Rosa Crash on Highway 101 Near Mendocino Avenue
SANTA ROSA, CA (November 10, 2022) – A car crash killed at least one person on Highway 101 near Mendocino Avenue in Santa Rosa.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the tragic accident took place on Thursday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at about 5:20 p.m.
CHP said a white pickup truck and a sedan collided for an unknown reason in Santa Rosa. The two crashed on the southbound side of Highway 101 near the Mendocino Avenue off-ramp.
2 Cars Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They confirmed that one individual died as a result of the collision.
The name of the deceased party has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin. Meanwhile, the incident log mentioned that a third vehicle became involved in the process.
Officers forced the southbound lanes of Highway 101 to shut down for an hour near Mendocino following the wreck. The cause of the fatal Santa Rosa crash is still under investigation.
