Martin Padilla, 47, Killed in Corona Crash Near Temescal Canyon and Leroy
CORONA, CA (January 28, 2023) – Martin Padilla was killed after a crash near Temescal Canyon Road and Leroy Road in Corona.
The coroner’s office identified the 47-year-old Hemet man as the victim of the fatal wreck which took place on Friday.
The incident happened when Martin Padilla was driving a car in the area of Temescal Canyon Road and Leroy Road south of Corona.
For an unknown reason, he collided with another vehicle. The California Highway Patrol said the two sedans crashed near the intersection.
2 Cars Collide
The NBC Palm Springs wrote that the collision occurred on January 27 at about 4:45 a.m. Martin Padilla ended up trapped inside the car as a result of the crash.
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and then freed him from the wreckage. Medical personnel soon pronounced the driver dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, the report did not mention if the other motorist sustained any injury following the accident. CHP forced Temescal Canyon Road to shut down near Leroy for several hours after the wreck.
The cause of the Corona crash is still under investigation.
