Fatal Traffic Collision on I-15 at Harvard Road
Newberry Springs, CA (January 30, 2023) – Jose Chacon, a 78-year-old man, died following a car accident that occurred in the area of Interstate 15 and Harvard Road.
San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department reported a traffic collision took place in the southbound side of the freeway in Newberry Springs. The exact number of cars involved in the wreck, and their description have not been discussed thus far.
Officials said the horrible crash took place on January 23, Monday, at about 2:47 p.m.
Deadly Car Accident in Newberry Springs
When medical personnel arrived at the site, they immediately checked the conditions of all parties involved in the accident. Authorities later confirmed one person sadly died as a result of the collision. The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department later identified the deceased as Jose Chacon, of Santa Ana.
Detectives stayed at the scene the whole afternoon. They continue to investigate the precise cause of the deadly car accident that happened on Interstate 15 in Newberry Springs.
