At Least 1 Killed in Collision at Southworth Road and Highway 12
Valley Springs, CA (April 9, 2023) – One person died following a traffic accident that occurred in the area of Southworth Road and State Route Highway 12, the California Highway Patrol group reported.
Our sources indicated two people riding motorbikes crashed into each other at the crossing in Valley Springs. Additional details on the two motorcycles involved in the catastrophic collision have not been discussed thus far.
Deadly Motorcycle Accident in Valley Springs
Shortly after 5:59 p.m., rescue teams arrived at the location. Responding paramedics rendered aid to both riders found suffering in injuries. According to the CHP dispatch, one motorcyclist sadly succumbed to their trauma and passed away. Authorities continue to withhold the identity of the deceased pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
No immediate information was available on the condition of the other rider involved in the collision.
At this time, investigators continue to work to determine exactly how and why the fatal crash happened at Southworth Road and State Route Highway 12 in Valley Springs.
