Lakewood Man, Chicago-area Man Killed in Crash on South Street in Lakewood, Calif.
LAKEWOOD, Calif. (June 7, 2021) —Aaron Morgan, 48, of Lakewood, was one of two people killed in a 3-vehicle crash Friday on South Street in Lakewood.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff Coroner released the names of both men who died in the multi-vehicle crash. The second man was John Guzzardo, 49, was from the Chicago suburb of Park Ridge, Illinois. Also, three others suffered injuries in the collision and taken to hospitals.
Additionally, the traffic accident happened about 10 p.m. on Friday, June 4th in the 6100 block of South Street, near Gondar Avenue, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

The vehicles involved included two sedans and one red classic Volkswagen Beetle. Also, two women were riding in each of the two sedans. John Guzzardo and Aaron Morgan, were among three passengers in the Beetle, according to the Long Beach Post. Sadly, both Aaron Morgan and John Guzzardo died at the scene.
Meanwhile, paramedics transported one of the occupants to a hospital in critical condition. Two other victims were taken to the hospital with minor to moderate injuries, according to ABC7 news.
Finally, investigators seek to find out what led up to the crash and will determine liability.
