Abdul Kabir, 28, Killed in Jurupa Valley Crash on Highway 60
JURUPA VALLEY, CA (June 4, 2023) – Abdul Kabir was killed after a crash on Highway 60 and Country Village Road in Jurupa Valley.
The coroner’s office identified the 28-year-old Rancho Cucamonga man as the victim in the fatal wreck which took place on Saturday.
Deputies said Abdul Kabir was involved in the accident which involved two vehicles and a motorcycle in Jurupa Valley. The three collided on westbound Highway 60 at Country Village Road.
My News LA wrote that the collision occurred on June 3 at about 10:02 p.m. The California Highway Patrol described one vehicle involved as a white Nissan pickup truck.
2 Injured in Wreck
The Nissan pickup truck rolled over upon impact. A CHP dispatch indicated that one of the vehicles involved caught fire as a result of the incident.
Abdul Kabir died at the scene of the crash. The Riverside County Fire Department said two other people ended up hurt as a result of the wreck.
One patient sustained serious injuries while the second survived with minor injuries. Paramedics then rushed both individuals to a hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, officers forced the westbound lanes of Highway 60 to shut down for more than two hours following the collision. The cause of the Jurupa Valley crash is still under investigation.
