Bicycle Rider Injured in Acampo Crash Near Lower Sacramento and Peltier Roads
ACAMPO, CA (September 6, 2021) – A bicycle rider was hospitalized after a crash near Lower Sacramento Road and Peltier Road in Acampo.
The California Highway Patrol first logged the incident on Friday afternoon. According to their dispatch, officers reported the accident on September 3 shortly before 3 p.m.
CHP said a Honda Civic struck the bicycle rider for an unknown reason in Acampo. The two collided near the intersection of Lower Sacramento and Peltier roads.
Bicyclist Hit by Car
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near Highway 99. They found the cyclist who sustained minor to moderate injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the patient to a hospital for treatment. Officials did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the driver stopped and stayed at the site after hitting the rider. Officers forced the area of Lower Sacramento and Peltier to shut down following the bicycle collision.
The cause of the Acampo crash is still under investigation.
