1 Killed, 1 Injured in Rollover Collision on Highway 14 Wednesday
Acton, CA (July 21, 2021) – A fatal car accident occurred Wednesday afternoon on Highway 14, the Santa Clarita Valley News reported.
Preliminary investigation a solo-vehicle veered off the highway for an unknown reason. Officials said the 2006 Toyota Tacoma truck hit the guardrail, and eventually rolled down an embankment. The horrible crash took place near the 8100 block of Escondido Canyon Road in Acton.
Driver Killed in Solo-Car Accident in Acton, July 21
Shortly after 4:15 p.m., a helicopter and emergency teams arrived at the location. First responders found a male party ejected onto the roadway. Our sources indicated the driver, a 38-year-old man from Lancaster, suffered fatal injuries as a result of the wreck. Paramedics later pronounced the man dead.
Authorities added the passenger, a 26-year-old Northridge woman, suffered moderate injuries from the collision. An ambulance transported the patient to Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital.
The names of both the deceased, and the injured passenger remained undisclosed pending confirmation.
Further investigation on the fatal car accident in Acton is ongoing.
