Alejandro Silva Perales, 27, ID’d as Suspect in Fontana DUI Crash
FONTANA, CA (May 24, 2022) – Authorities detained Alejandro Silva Perales after a DUI crash at Sierra and Baseline Avenues in Fontana.
Police determined that the 27-year-old man was under the influence of alcohol when the wreck took place on Sunday night.
The incident began when Alejandro Silva Perales ran a red light in Fontana. His car then struck another vehicle at the intersection of Sierra and Baseline avenues.
Police affirmed that the car he hit had three occupants, all family members, at the time. The Fontana Herald News wrote that the collision occurred on May 22 at about 9:35 p.m.
3 Injured in Wreck
The three victims ended up suffering from non-life-threatening injuries sustained as a result of the accident. Paramedics then took them to a hospital for treatment.
The names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time were not released. Meanwhile, the suspect fled northbound after slamming into the family car.
Police soon located and arrested Alejandro Silva Perales for DUI. They added that he had a warrant for resisting arrest.
Officers treated Alejandro Silva Perales at the site for the minor abrasions he sustained in the crash. The Fontana DUI crash is still under investigation.
