Fatal Multi-Vehicle Collision Kills Woman on Highway 99
Fresno, CA (April 27, 2022) – Aloma Waith, a 66-year-old Stockton resident, died following a car accident that occurred on Highway 99.
Your Central Valley published an article online reporting a multi-vehicle collided that occurred near Cedar Avenue in Fresno. Our sources indicated six cars crashed into each other on Highway 99 Tuesday morning.
Officials said one car veered off the roadway and slammed into a wall. Due to the force from the impact, that car reentered the highway and spun across all the lanes. Per local news source, a motorist in a grey SUV stopped and attempted to help the occupants car involved in the first accident. When the grey SUV came to a stop, an oncoming motorist crashed into the back of the SUV. The second collision reportedly caused a chain reaction crash on SR-99.
Shortly after 3 a.m., emergency crews arrived at the site. First responders found at least one person unconscious. Despite life-saving measures performed by paramedics, a woman sadly succumbed to her injuries and died. The Fresno County Coroner’s Office identified the deceased as Aloma Waith, of Stockton.
Authorities mentioned several other parties sustained different injuries as a result of the wreck.
At this time, detectives continue to investigate several unclear factors surrounding the unfortunate event.
