Major Injury Collision on State Route Highway 49 Friday
Amador County, CA (August 20 , 2021) – A traffic accident involving a UPS truck occurred Friday afternoon on State Route 49, according to the California Highway Patrol dispatch.
Primary reports indicated the medium-sized big rig collided with another vehicle at the intersection of Golden Chain Highway 49 and Electra Road. The make and model of the smaller vehicle involved in the wreck have not been revealed thus far.

Shortly after 3:50 p.m., medical personnel arrived at the crash site. Responding paramedics rendered aid to all possible victims in the collision. After the evaluation, authorities confirmed one person suffered major injuries as a result of the incident. The name of the victim and their condition at this time remained undisclosed.
Detectives assigned to handle the case continue to investigate exactly how and why the truck accident in Amador happened.
