Amanda Martin, 32, ID’d as Suspect in Fountain Valley Fatal DUI Hit-and-Run Crash
FOUNTAIN VALLEY, CA (January 15, 2022) – Authorities detained Amanda Martin after a fatal DUI hit-and-run crash in Fountain Valley.
Police determined that the 32-year-old Fountain Valley woman was under the influence of alcohol when she killed a bicyclist on Saturday.
The incident happened when Amanda Martin was driving on Euclid Avenue in Fountain Valley. He then struck 71-year-old Liem Bui who was riding a bicycle at the time.
Police said the two collided just north of Heil Avenue. Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and found the rider down in the southbound lanes of Euclid Avenue.

The Santa Ana man ended up suffering from severe injuries as a result of the collision. Medical personnel then pronounced him dead at the scene.
The Orange County Register wrote that the accident took place at about 5:39 a.m. Meanwhile, police affirmed that the woman did not stop to help the cyclist and fled the area.
Officers found Amanda Martin in Westminster and arrested her on suspicion of felony DUI, felony hit-and-run and vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated.
The Fountain Valley DUI hit-and-run crash is still under investigation. Anyone with information can call the police at 714-593-4481.
