ORANGE COUNTY, Calif. (Feb. 6, 2023) — A semi-truck and a pickup truck collided Monday morning on the northbound Interstate 5 Freeway, just south of La Palma Avenue in Anaheim.
The two-vehicle accident occurred about 6:37 a.m. on Feb. 6th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The drivers of a gray Ford F-150 pickup truck and a white International 2-axle box truck loaded with 10,000 pounds of cargo collided in the Nos. 3 and 4 lanes of the I-5 Freeway, police said.
Neither vehicle was drivable after the crash and the driver in the pickup truck had complaints of chest pain following the collision.
Paramedics with Metro Net Fire Authority responded to help the injured motorist, but it’s unknown if they were hospitalized.
Meanwhile, tow trucks removed the two damaged vehicles from the freeway.
Investigators are piecing together what happened and will determine fault for the Anaheim crash on the Interstate 5 Freeway.
