Pedestrian Killed in Antelope Crash Near Walerga Road and Elverta Road
ANTELOPE, CA (September 12, 2021) – A pedestrian was killed after a crash near Walerga Road and Elverta Road in Antelope.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the tragic accident occurred late Sunday night. Officers reported the incident at about 10:12 p.m.
CHP said a black sedan struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason in Antelope. The driver hit the person near the intersection of Walerga Road and Elverta Road.
Victim Hit by Car
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the McDonald’s restaurant. They found the victim lying on the ground as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then pronounced the patient dead. The name of the deceased party remains unreleased pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, CHP added that the car ended up on the right hand shoulder after hitting the victim. Officers forced the area of Walerga and Elverta roads to shut down for a time following the accident.
The cause of the fatal Antelope pedestrian collision is still under investigation.
