Anthony Tyrone Boyd Jr., 37, Dead in Collision Near Shoemaker Avenue Sunday
Cerritos, CA (May 30, 2021) – Anthony Tyrone Boyd Jr., a 37-year-old Long Beach man, suffered fatal injuries following a traffic accident on 91 Freeway Sunday morning.
The KTLA5 News reported Anthony Boyd was riding a 2008 Yamaha R6 in the carpool lane of the 91 Freeway. Officials believed the man was traveling at a speed greater than 80 miles per hour.
According to the article published online, rider veered behind a 2013 Ford in the adjacent lane. In the process, the motorcyclist lost control of his bike and collided into the party bus traveling in the same direction.
The catastrophic incident took place near Shoemaker Avenue.

Shortly after 2:35 a.m., medical personnel arrived at the location and found Anthony Boyd with serious injuries. Paramedics reportedly performed life-saving measures to the victim, but he sadly succumbed to his injuries and died at the scene. Authorities later identified the deceased as Anthony Tyrone Boyd Jr.
Officials also identified the driver of the party bus as 61-year-old Padashi Cyrus, of Arcadia. The condition of Padashi Cyrus after the incident remained unknown at this time.
Further investigation on the case is ongoing.
