Antonia Ramirez, 22, Killed in Irwindale Hit-and-Run Crash on Huntington Drive
IRWINDALE, CA (March 29, 2021) – A DUI hit-and-run crash killed Antonia Ramirez along Huntington Drive in Irwindale.
Authorities identified the 22-year-old woman as the victim of the fatal collision which occurred on Saturday, March 27.
The incident happened when Antonia Ramirez was riding a bicycle on Huntington Drive near Foothill Boulevard in Irwindale. At the same time, a vehicle was going east.
Police said the driver then struck Antonia Ramirez and her bike in the 2900 block of Huntington Drive. Officers reported the accident at about 1:21 a.m.

Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and found the bicyclist down on the ground near the debris of her bicycle. According to reports by the CBS Los Angeles and My News LA, she died at the scene.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the motorist did not stop to render aid to the cyclist and fled the area. Officials stopped the vehicle involved near Francisquito and Sunset avenues in West Covina.
Police soon arrested 21-year-old Adrian Ortega on suspicion of felony vehicular manslaughter, felony DUI and felony hit-and-run. They set the bail of the La Puente man at $100,000.
