1 Critical After T-Bone Collision Near Roundup Way Friday
Apple Valley, CA (February 4, 2022) – At least one person suffered serious injuries following a traffic accident that occurred on Kiowa Road Friday afternoon.
According to Victor Valley News Group, a man driving a Tesla was trying to pass vehicles in the streets of Apple Valley. When the Tesla approached the area near Roundup Way, it T-boned a Honda Civic. Earlier reports mentioned the Honda was entering the Hilltop Tavern and Inn when the incident happened.
The collision took place around 12:14 p.m.
When rescue teams arrived at the location, they found the driver of the Honda trapped inside the wreckage. Responding firefighters reportedly used the jaws of life to cut the roof of the vehicle and extricate the victim. A Mercy Air 22 helicopter landed near the crash site and airlifted the patient to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center.
Meanwhile, the condition of the Tesla driver remained undisclosed pending confirmation.
Detectives continue to investigate at this time the precise cause of the car crash on Kiowa Road in Apple Valley.
