1 Killed, 2 Injured in Apple Valley Crash on Highway 18 Near Rimrock Road
APPLE VALLEY, CA (June 9, 2022) – A crash killed one person and injured two others on Highway 18 near Rimrock Road in Apple Valley.
According to an article published by the Victor Valley News, the tragic accident took place on Thursday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at about 3 p.m.
Deputies said a black 4-door sedan and a dark gray van collided for an unknown reason in the town of Apple Valley. The two crashed on the eastbound side of Highway 18 near Rimrock Road.
2 Vehicles Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and soon pronounced the female driver of the sedan dead at the scene. A dog from the same car died as a result of the collision.
An air ambulance then her male passenger to a trauma center for treatment of critical injuries. Medical personnel treated the motorist in the van for the minor injuries they sustained in the incident.
The names of the deceased and wounded parties have not been yet released. Meanwhile, officers forced the eastbound lanes of Highway 18 to shut down for a time near Rimrock following the wreck.
The cause of the fatal Apple Valley crash is still under investigation.
