1 Killed, 1 Injured in Collision Near 2nd Avenue
Arcadia, CA (April 9, 2022) – An 85-year-old woman died, and an 86-year-old man suffered injuries following a traffic crash that occurred on Huntington Drive.
On April 7, Thursday, a collision between a sport-utility vehicle and an electric scooter took place near 2nd Avenue. The San Gabriel Valley Tribune reported both the 2004 Lexus SUV, and the scooter were heading west on Huntington Drive when the crash happened. The exact circumstances that led up to the accident remained unknown at this time.
Deadly Electric Scooter Accident on Huntington Drive in Arcadia
Shortly after 6:30 p.m., emergency crews arrived at the location. First responders found the two parties riding the electric scooter with injuries. Despite life-saving measures, the 85-year-old woman sadly succumbed to her injuries and passed away. Authorities added the 86-year-old man sustained unspecified injuries in the collision.
Meanwhile, no immediate information was available on the driver of the Lexus SUV.
Detectives stayed at the scene the whole evening. They continue to investigate the precise cause of the fatal accident on Huntington Drive in Arcadia.
