Bicycle Rider Seriously Injured in Arden-Arcade Crash at Fulton and Tesla
ARDEN-ARCADE, CA (September 30, 2021) – A bicycle rider was seriously injured after a crash at Fulton Avenue and Tesla Way in Arden-Arcade.
The California Highway Patrol said the incident occurred early Thursday. According to their dispatch, officers reported the accident at about 12:56 a.m.
CHP said a vehicle struck the bicycle rider for an unknown reason in Arden-Arcade. The driver hit the bicyclist at the intersection of Fulton Avenue and Tesla Way.
Bicyclist Hit by Vehicle
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near Cottage Way and Alta Arden Expressway. They found the victim down on the ground as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel took the cyclist to a hospital for treatment of major injuries. The report did not disclose the name of the wounded patient and her condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the motorist stopped and stayed at the site after hitting the rider. Officers forced the area of Fulton Avenue and Tesla Way to close following the collision.
The cause of the Arden-Arcade bicycle crash is still under investigation.
