Bicyclist Injured in Arden-Arcade Hit-and-Run Crash on Hurley Way
ARDEN-ARCADE, CA (February 4, 2022) – A bicyclist was injured after a hit-and-run crash on Hurley Way in Arden-Arcade.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident took place on Thursday morning. Officers reported the collision at about 7:41 a.m.
The incident happened on February 3 when a vehicle struck the bicycle rider for an unknown reason. The hit-and-run driver hit the cyclist at 2510 Hurley Way in Arden-Arcade.
Driver Hits Rider, Flees Scene
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the site near the intersection of Oak Terrace Court. They found the victim hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel treated the patient for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the accident. The report did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the motorist did not stop to render aid and then fled the scene. They described the car as a white SUV.
Officers forced a stretch of Hurley Way to shut down following the Arden-Arcade hit-and-run crash. The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
