Pedestrian Killed in Arden-Arcade Crash at Marconi and Avalon
ARDEN-ARCADE, CA (September 3, 2022) – A crash killed a pedestrian at Marconi Avenue and Avalon Drive in Arden-Arcade.
According to The Sacramento Bee and FOX 40 News, the tragic accident took place on August 15. Officers reported the collision shortly before 9:30 p.m.
The incident happened when a vehicle struck a male pedestrian for an unknown reason n Arden-Arcade. The driver hit him on Marconi Avenue at the intersection with Avalon Drive.
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and then found the man down on the ground. He sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision.
Driver Hits Man, Flees Scene
Medical personnel soon pronounced the victim dead at the scene. His name has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, police added that the motorist did not stop to render aid to the man and fled the area. They described the car as a 2012-2015 Lexus RX 350 or RX 450 with light-color paint job, possibly white.
Officers forced the corner of Marconi and Avalon to shut down for a time following the incident. The fatal Arden-Arcade pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
