Driver Killed in Collision at Van Buren Boulevard and Duncan Avenue Sunday
Riverside, CA (February 6, 2022) – Ariana Gonzalez, a 21-year-old woman, died following a traffic accident that occurred in the area of Van Buren Boulevard and Duncan Avenue.
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department reported Gonzalez was driving a black Kia heading north on Van Buren Boulevard. For an unknown reason, the woman lost control of the vehicle and veered off the roadway. The car continued driving and eventually slammed into a power pole.
Officials mentioned the Kia came to a rest in a field just south of Duncan Avenue.
Shortly after 4:58 a.m., rescue teams arrived at the location. First responders found the Kia driver lifeless. Despite life-saving measures performed by paramedics, the woman sadly succumbed to her injuries and died at the scene. Authorities confirmed the identity of the deceased as Ariana Gonzalez, of Riverside.
The KTLA75 News published an article online reporting another occupant in the Kia fled the scene before police arrived. No immediate information was available on the other party involved in the unfortunate event.
Further investigation on the case is ongoing.
