Man Fatally Struck by Vehicle Near Cloverfield Boulevard
Santa Monica, CA (June 24, 2022) – Armando Hernandez, a 21-year-old man, died following a pedestrian accident that occurred on Interstate 10 in Santa Monica.
According to My News LA, Hernandez was walking Tuesday morning along I-10, also known as Santa Monica Freeway. Earlier reports indicated an oncoming motorcycle rider struck the pedestrian in the area near Cloverfield Boulevard. The horrible crash took place at about 3:30 a.m.
Emergency crews later arrived at the accident scene and found the pedestrian lying on the ground. Responding paramedics performed life-saving measures to the victim, but he sadly succumbed to his injuries and passed away. The Los Angeles County coroner’s office identified the deceased as Armando Hernandez.
Authorities added the motorcyclist sustained injuries as a result of the collision. An ambulance transported the rider to a hospital for further treatment and evaluation.
Several factors surrounding the unfortunate event remained unclear. At this time, detectives continue to investigate liability in the deadly pedestrian accident on Santa Monica (10) Freeway.
