At Least 1 Badly Hurt in Collision Near Oak Park Boulevard Offramp Monday
Arroyo Grande, CA (December 27, 2021) – A car accident that occurred Monday on U.S. Route Highway 101 resulted in injuries, according to the California Highway Patrol dispatch.
Earlier reports indicated a Jeep veered off the roadway, and continued driving down a culvert in the area. Officials said the passenger vehicle rolled over multiple times before coming to a rest about 20 feet down the ditch near Oak Park Boulevard offramp.
The CHP logged the case around 8:50 a.m.

When rescue teams arrived at the site, they immediately checked the wreckage for trapped parties. All occupants were safely extricated. After the medical evaluation, authorities confirmed one person sustained major trauma and required treatment at a hospital facility. The name and age of the patient remained undisclosed pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
Investigators continue to work at this time to determine the precise cause of the traffic accident on Highway 101 in Arroyo Grande.
