Arturo Marquez, 76, Killed in Union City Pedestrian Crash Near Dyer and San Marco
UNION CITY, CA (April 28, 2023) – Arturo Marquez was killed after a pedestrian crash near Dyer Street and San Marco Court in Union City.
Police identified the 76-year-old Hayward man as the victim in the fatal accident which took place last month.
Union city police said the incident happened when a vehicle struck Arturo Marquez for an unknown reason. The driver hit him near the intersection of Dyer Street and San Marco Court.

Paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found the victim lying unresponsive on the ground. The East Bay Times wrote that the collision occurred on March 23 at about 9:35 p.m.
Arturo Marquez sustained life-threatening injuries as a result of the pedestrian accident. Medical personnel then rushed him to a hospital, where he died on April 19.
Meanwhile, police added that the motorist stopped and stayed at the site following the incident. The cause of the Union City pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
