Pedestrian Injured in Auburn Hit-and-Run Crash at Lincoln and Foresthill
AUBURN, CA (February 12, 2022) – A pedestrian was injured after a hit-and-run crash at Lincoln Way and Foresthill Road in Auburn.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the accident took place late Saturday morning. Officers reported the collision at about 10:56 a.m.
According to CHP, a vehicle struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason in Auburn. The driver hit the person at the intersection of Lincoln Way and Foresthill Road.
Driver Hits Victim, Flees Scene
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the Raley’s grocery store parking lot. They found the victim who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel treated the patient for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the incident. The report did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the motorist did not stop to render aid to the victim and then fled the area. Officers forced the corner of Lincoln and Foresthill to shut down following the collision.
The cause of the Auburn hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
