1 Injured in Azusa Hit-and-Run Crash on 210 Freeway Near Citrus Avenue
AZUSA, CA (February 13, 2022) – At least one was hospitalized after a hit-and-run crash on the 210 Freeway near Citrus Avenue in Azusa.
The California Highway Patrol said the wreck took place early Sunday. According to their dispatch, officers reported the accident at about 1:21 a.m.
The incident began when an Infiniti was racing a motorcyclist on the westbound 210 Freeway, just east of Citrus Avenue, in Azusa.
CHP determined that the Infiniti then slammed into two other vehicles, including a blue SUV, in the area. The SUV rolled over and landed on its roof upon impact.
Multiple Vehicles Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found one person who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel took the patient to the Emanate Health Foothill Presbyterian Hospital for treatment of unknown injuries. The report did not release the name of the wounded victim and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the driver of the Infiniti did not stop to render aid and fled the area. Officers forced the westbound lanes of 210 Freeway to shut down near Citrus following the wreck.
The Azusa hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
