At Least 1 Killed in Collision on Barstow Freeway Thursday
Baker, CA (July 29, 2021) – The California Highway Patrol group reported a fatal traffic accident that occurred on State Route 15, also known as Barstow Freeway, Thursday afternoon.
Initial records indicated a big rig crashed for an unknown reason in the northbound side of the highway near Mile Marker 108. The force from the impact caused the trailer to roll over approximately 50 feet into the nearby desert.
Deadly Truck Accident in Baker, July 29
Shortly after 4:10 p.m., medical personnel arrived at the location and rendered aid to all possible victims. After the evaluation, authorities confirmed one person sadly died as a result of the collision. The identity of the deceased remained undisclosed pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
Additional details on the unfortunate event have not been discussed thus far. At this time, detectives continue to investigate exactly how and why the deadly truck accident in Baker happened.
