At Least 1 Badly Hurt in Collision Near Highway 58 Saturday
Bakersfield, CA (January 1, 2022) – A traffic accident that occurred on General Beale Road resulted in injuries, according to an article published online by Bakersfield Now.
Officials said a semitrailer truck and a passenger vehicle collided near Highway 58 Saturday afternoon. Due to the force from the impact, the car rolled down the embankment. The crash took place at approximately 2:27 p.m.
When emergency crews arrived at the location, they found the passenger vehicle fully engulfed in flames. Responding firefighters worked extensively to extinguish the fire.
Medical personnel rendered aid to all possible victims in the collision. After the evaluation, authorities confirmed one person suffered serious injuries as a result of the accident. Paramedics rushed the patient to the hospital for treatment and further evaluation.
Detectives continue to work to determine several factors surrounding the major car accident on General Beale Road in Bakersfield.
