3 Seriously Injured in Bakersfield Crash at Brimhall and Nord
BAKERSFIELD, CA (July 7, 2022) – Several were seriously injured after a car crash at Brimhall Road and Nord Avenue in Bakersfield.
According to the Kern Golden Empire and Bakersfield Now, the accident took place on Thursday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at around 2:20 p.m.
The California Highway Patrol said a sedan and a pickup truck collided in the city of Bakersfield. The two crashed at the intersection of Brimhall Road and Nord Avenue.
A driver made a stop sign violation and went directly into the path of the other motorist. Both cars went off the road and came to a stop on their roofs.
2 Cars Collide
A fence of a home in nearby ended up damaged due to the impact the collision. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and freed two trapped occupants from the wreckage.
The rescued individuals sustained life-threatening injuries as a result of the incident. A third patient survived the accident with major injuries.
Medical personnel then rushed the wounded parties to the hospital for treatment. The report did not release their names and condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP forced the area of Brimhall and Nord to shut down following the wreck. The cause of the Bakersfield crash is still under investigation.
