1 Injured in Bakersfield Crash on Highway 99 Near Highway 119
BAKERSFIELD, CA (September 1, 2022) – At least one was injured after a car crash on Highway 99 near Highway 119 in Bakersfield.
According to an article published by the Kern Golden Empire, the accident took place on Tuesday morning. Officers reported the wreck shortly before 7 a.m.
The incident happened on August 30 when four vehicles collided for an unknown reason in the city of Bakersfield. They crashed on the northbound side of Highway 99 near Highway 119.
Multiple Cars Collide
The California Highway Patrol described the cars as a sedan and three SUVs. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found one person hurt.
Medical personnel provided treatment to the patient who sustained minor injuries as a result of the collision. The report did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP added that six sand cans ended up hit in the area. Officers forced the northbound lanes of Highway 99 to shut down near Highway 119 following the wreck.
The cause of the Bakersfield crash is still under investigation.
