1 Injured in Bakersfield Crash on Highway 99 and Ming Avenue
BAKERSFIELD, CA (January 17, 2022) – One person died in a car crash on Highway 99 and Ming Avenue in Bakersfield.
According to an article published by the Bakersfield Now, the accident took place on Sunday morning. Officers reported the wreck on January 16 at around 11:20 a.m.
The California Highway Patrol said two to three vehicles collided for an unknown reason in central Bakersfield. They crashed on northbound Highway 99 and Ming Avenue.
Multiple Vehicles Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the Valley Plaza. They found one person who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel provided treatment to the patient for the minor injuries they sustained in the incident. The report did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP forced the northbound lanes of Highway 99 to shut down near Ming for more than an hour following the wreck. The cause of the Bakersfield crash is still under investigation.
