Two-Vehicle Crash on I-5 Freeway Near Kern County Raceway
KERN COUNTY, Calif. (Aug. 4, 2022) — A Bakersfield crash on the Interstate 5 Freeway happened Thursday afternoon, just south of State Route Highway 43/Enos Lane.
The collision occurred about 1:17 p.m. on August 4th in the No. 1 lane, according to the California Highway Patrol dispatch.
CHP officials reported the drivers of a gray Toyota Sienna van and a white SUV were involved in the crash. Paramedics responded to the scene due to possible injuries reported.
It’s unknown at this time what led up to the collision, but investigators are piecing together witness statements and evidence.
