Motorcyclist Killed in Traffic Accident on Highway 99 Tuesday
Bakersfield, CA (April 27, 2021) – A motorcycle rider suffered fatal injuries following a road crash on Highway 99 Tuesday evening.
According to Bakersfield Now, a motorcyclist collided with two other vehicles in the southbound side of SR-99 near Rosedale Avenue. Officials believed the rider lost control of his motorbike while splitting lanes, leading to the catastrophic incident.

Preliminary investigation revealed the motorcyclist clipped a semitruck. Then, the man got trapped between the semi and a box truck in a nearby lane. Our sources confirmed the rider sadly died as a result of the accident.
Emergency crews arrived at the site shortly after 6:30 p.m. and pronounced the man dead. Pending confirmation and notification of next of kin, the identity of the deceased remained undisclosed.
Responding officers closed the number two and three lanes on the southbound side of Highway 99 to give way to the investigation process. Detectives assigned to handle the case continue to work to determine several factors surrounding the deadly motorcycle crash on Highway 99 in Bakersfield.
