Vehicle Strikes, Kills Woman at California Avenue and L Street
Bakersfield, CA (August 21, 2022) – A pedestrian died following a traffic accident that occurred in the area of California Avenue and L Street.
The Bakersfield Now published an article online reporting vehicle hitting a woman at the intersection in Bakersfield. Our sources indicated the female pedestrian stepped into the roadway while the green light for vehicles was on.
Subsequently, an oncoming car hit the woman. The horrible crash took place Friday morning.
Responding paramedics found the victim suffering in serious injuries. Despite life-saving measures performed by medical personnel, the pedestrian sadly succumbed to her trauma and died. The identity of the fatal victim remained undisclosed pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
Detectives handling the case stayed at the scene the whole morning. They continue to investigate the precise cause of the deadly accident that happened at California Avenue and L Street in Bakersfield.
