Man Dies in Hit-and-Run Collision on Brundage Lane

Bakersfield, CA (May 7, 2023) – A pedestrian suffered fatal injuries following a traffic accident that occurred on Brundage Lane Sunday morning, May 7.

The Bakersfield.com and KGET News reported a man attempted to walk in a northerly direction across Brundage. While in the middle of the road, a passing vehicle struck the pedestrian. The horrible crash took place at about 2:20 a.m.

Fatal Pedestrian Accident in Bakersfield

Emergency crews responded to the 400 block of Brundage and found the victim lying on the ground. The Bakersfield Fire Department and Hall Ambulance personnel performed life-saving measures to the man but he sadly succumbed to his injuries and passed away. Authorities continue to withhold the identity of the deceased pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.

The article published online mentioned the driver involved in the horrible collision fled the scene before police arrived. At this time, investigators continue to gather information to identify and locate the hit-and-run suspect in the deadly accident on Brundage Lane in Bakersfield.
