Man Hit and Killed by Vehicle Near Cottonwood Road Offramp
Bakersfield, CA (April 22, 2023) – The California Highway Patrol group reported a deadly pedestrian accident that occurred on State Route Highway 58 on April 22, Saturday.
Our sources indicated a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle in the westbound side of SR-58 near the Cottonwood Road offramp. CHP logged the case around 12:04 a.m.
Fatal Pedestrian Accident in Bakersfield
When emergency crews arrived at the location, they found the pedestrian suffering in serious injuries. Paramedics performed life-saving efforts to the victim but they sadly succumbed to their injuries and passed away. Pending confirmation and notification of next of kin, the identity of the deceased remained undisclosed.
Officials mentioned a black BMW, and a Tesla both stopped on the right-hand shoulder of the highway. However, it remained unclear whether any of the cars were involved in the horrible crash.
At this time, detectives continue to investigate liability in the deadly accident that happened on Highway 58 in Bakersfield.
