Vehicle Strikes, Kills Man News California Avenue Offramp
Bakersfield, CA (November 25, 2022) – A pedestrian died following a traffic accident that occurred on State Route Highway 99 Thursday, the KGET News reported.
Our sources indicated a male party was seen walking on the right shoulder of the northbound SR-99 shortly before 9 p.m.
Fatal Pedestrian Accident on Highway 99 in Bakersfield
In the area near the California Avenue offramp, a passing 2015 Honda CRV struck the pedestrian. The force from the impact resulted in life-threatening injuries to the victim. When medical personnel arrived at the crash site, they immediately attended to the injured party. Sadly, the pedestrian succumbed to his injuries and passed away at the scene. Authorities continue to withhold the identity of the deceased pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
The article published online mentioned the driver of the Honda, 72-year-old Robert Catrini, stayed at the accident scene and cooperated with the investigation process.
