At Least 1 Killed in Collision on Highway 99 Thursday
Bakersfield, CA (August 5, 2021) – A fatal car accident occurred on Highway 99 Thursday evening, the KGET News reported.
Our sources indicated a car crash took place in the southbound side of Highway 99 near Highway 58. At this time, the exact number of vehicles involved in the catastrophic incident have not been revealed thus far.

Shortly after 9:30 p.m., emergency teams arrived at the accident scene. First responders found at least one person with life-threatening injuries. The article published online later confirmed one person sadly died as a result of the wreck. Pending confirmation and notification of next of kin, the identity of the deceased remained undisclosed.
Authorities mentioned southbound traffic on Highway 58 backed up to Rosedale Highway following the collision.
