Passenger Killed in Collision at Golden State Highway and Q Street Sunday
Bakersfield, CA (November 28, 2021) – One person died, and another suffered injuries following a car accident that occurred in the area of Golden State Highway and Q Street.
The Bakersfield Now News reported two vehicles collided at the busy intersection in Bakersfield Sunday afternoon. Officials identified the cars involved in the wreck as a pickup truck and an SUV.
Shortly after 12:48 p.m., emergency crews rushed to the location. First responders found the driver, and passenger of the pickup truck with injuries. Paramedics reportedly rushed both victims to the hospital for treatment. Sadly, despite life-saving measures, the passenger succumbed to their injuries and died. The identity of the deceased remained undisclosed pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.

Authorities mentioned the driver received treatment for moderate injuries, and stayed at the hospital for further evaluation.
Several factors surrounding the unfortunate event remained unclear. At this time, detectives continue to investigate the precise circumstances that led to the car crash at Golden State Highway and Q Street.
