Motorcyclist Killed in Bakersfield Crash Near White Lane and Ashe Road
BAKERSFIELD, CA (October 10, 2021) – A motorcyclist was killed after a crash near White Lane and Ashe Road in Southwest Bakersfield.
According to an article published by the Kern Golden Empire, the tragic accident took place on Sunday evening. Officers reported the wreck shortly after 7:30 p.m.
Bakersfield police said a man riding a motorcycle collided with an SUV for an unknown reason. The two crashed near the intersection of White Lane and Ashe Road.
Motorcycle and Car Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and then found the rider in his late 20s lying on the ground as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel soon pronounced the motorcyclist dead at the scene. His name remains unreleased pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, police did not mention if the driver of the SUV ended up hurt or if they stopped following the wreck. Officers forced the area of White Lane and Ashe Road to shut down after the collision.
The cause of the fatal Bakersfield crash is still under investigation.
