Woman Killed in Bakersfield Hit-and-Run at Ming Avenue and Stine Road
BAKERSFIELD, CA (September 8, 2021) – A pedestrian was killed after a hit-and-run crash at Ming Avenue and Stine Road in Bakersfield.
According to the Bakersfield Now and Kern Golden Empire, the tragic accident occurred late Tuesday night. Officers reported the collision shortly after 10:30 p.m.
The incident happened on September 7 when a vehicle struck a female pedestrian in the southwest part of Bakersfield. The driver hit her at intersection of Stine Road and Ming Avenue.
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and found the woman left lying on the ground. She sustained major injuries as a result of the collision.

Medical personnel soon rushed the victim to a local hospital where, she died. Her name remains unreleased pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the motorist did not stop to render aid to the woman and then fled eastbound on Ming. They described the car as a red or orange colored 2020 Toyota C-HR SUV.
Officers forced the area of Stine Road and Ming Avenue to shut down for hours following the collision. The fatal Bakersfield hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
