At Least 1 Hurt in Collision on H Street Sunday
Bakersfield, CA (January 8, 2022) – A suspected hit-and-run car crash occurred in the area of State Route 58 and H Street, the California Highway Patrol group reported.
On January 2, Sunday, two vehicles collided in the westbound side of SR-58 in Bakersfield. The CHP logged the incident at approximately 6:35 p.m.
First responders found a blue Chevrolet Malibu disabled in the middle of the roadway. When medical personnel arrived, they immediately rendered aid to all occupants in the Malibu. After the evaluation, authorities confirmed at least one person sustained injuries as a result of the collision. The name and age of the victim remained undisclosed pending confirmation.
Meanwhile, investigators mentioned one motorist fled the scene. No immediate information was available on the hit-and-run suspect.
Detectives continue to work at this time to determine several factors surrounding the car crash on State Route 58 in Bakersfield.
