Bakersfield Hit-and-Run Crash Flower Street and Orange Drive

1 Injured in Bakersfield Hit-and-Run Crash at Flower Street and Orange Drive

BAKERSFIELD, CA (April 16, 2021) – One was hospitalized after a hit-and-run crash at Flower Street and Orange Drive in Bakersfield.

The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the accident occurred late Friday night. Officers reported the wreck at about 11:17 p.m.

A gray Chrysler PT Cruiser struck a grey sedan, apparently a United Taxi, for an unknown reason. The two collided at the intersection of Flower Street and Orange Drive in Bakersfield.

Driver Hits Another Car, Flees Scene

According to their report, firefighters along with the paramedics soon responded to the scene. They found one occupant of the taxi who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.

Medical personnel then took the victim to the Kern Medical for treatment of unspecified injuries. Officials did not disclose the name of the patient and their condition at this time.

Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the driver of the Chrysler did not stop to render aid and fled the area. Officers briefly blocked the intersection following the Bakersfield hit-and-run crash.

Authorities are still searching for the suspect.
