Pedestrian Badly Injured in Bakersfield Crash Near Haley and Height Streets
BAKERSFIELD, CA (January 4, 2022) – A pedestrian was badly injured after a crash near Haley and Height streets in northeast Bakersfield.
According to an article published by the Kern Golden Empire, the accident took place on Tuesday evening. Officers reported the collision at around 5:51 p.m.
Bakersfield police said a vehicle struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason in the city. The driver hit the person near the intersection of Haley and Height streets.
Victim Hit by Vehicle
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the Foods Co. They found the victim who ended up suffering from moderate injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the patient to the Kern Medical for treatment. The report did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the motorist stopped and stayed at the site after hitting the victim. Officers forced the northbound Haley Street to shut down near Height Street following the incident.
The cause of the Bakersfield pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
